Greenhouse air conditioning unit

LekHaBo developed the OPAC (Oval Pipes Air Conditioning), a highly efficient air conditioning unit for in greenhouses. CE Masters developed the large, 1.3 meters wide, plastic housing for this unit.

A major concern was material selection. The unit had to be UV-resistant and chemically resistant to organic particles, acids and pesticides which are common in greenhouses. The material selection was executed in close cooperation with LekHabo, suppliers and the plastics experts within the Pezy Group.

The result is a lightweight plastic housing, easily producible by TFM (Thermoplastic Foam Moulding). CE Masters supplied fully detailed 3D CAD models, resulting in a short lead time for mould manufacturing. The housing has integrated solutions for guiding condensation water. Once installed, the housing can be opened very easily with smart latches on the top side, making the unit extremely service friendly.
