    <title>Workshop Top-Down Design in Solidworks</title>
    <link>http://www.cemasters.nl/en/news/workshop-top-down-design-solidworks</link>
<description>Pezy Group | CE Masters developed a workshop Top-Down Design in Solidworks, filled with tips, tricks, do&#039;s and don&#039;ts.What is Top-Down Design? Top-Down Design is a working method in which the global architecture and interface geometry of an assembly are defined on a central location, a so called ‘skeleton-model’. Individual parts are then derived from this central model. This method is different from classic ‘Bottom-up Design’ in which individual parts are modeled first and then placed into an assembly.&amp;nbsp; What are the advantages of Top-Down Design?CAD assemblies are more stable; they will show fewer broken assembly mates.Modifications on main dimensions can be processed easily. All parts are automatically updated; all parts will always fit, even after many modifications.&amp;nbsp;Cooperation by multiple engineers in one assembly will be more effective, because agreements (interfaces) are centrally monitored and controlled.&amp;nbsp; Why a workshop specifically for Solidworks?Solidworks users deal with the limitations of Bottum-Up Design on a daily basis, they would appreciate better working methods. However, modeling a stable Top-Down assembly in Solidworks is not self-evident. It is often unclear which possibilities are available in SolidWorks, and how these functions should (or should not) be used. Very little information is available at software suppliers and on internet forums.&amp;nbsp; Pezy Group has developed this workshop to fill this gaping hole. The workshop is filled with tips, tricks, do’s &amp;amp; don’ts.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Contents of the workshop (± 4 hours)The workshop includes:Possibilities in SolidworksGeometry IDs and why these are importantRecommended working methodsVarious examplesExamples specifically for your industryDo-it-yourself training assignmentsDozens of tips, tricks, do’s &amp;amp; don’tsInterested? Please contact Pezy Group&amp;nbsp; |&amp;nbsp; CE Masters 030 - 63 54 850www.cemasters.nl&amp;nbsp;</description>
